DNA mtehylation pattern after intracellular staining and FACS sort

Hello everyone.

Is anyone here familiar with the requirements for successful genomic
DNA isolation and methylation analysis of different genes? I would
like to perform this analysis on cells that can however only be
isolated after FACS sorting of cells that have previously been fixed
and permeabilized for detection of intracellular antigens.

What I am mainly concerned with is whether fixation and
permeabilization might denature the DNA in these cells, and how this
would affect any subsequent analysis including successful DNA
isolation etc.

Google and pubmed searches have been unsuccessful so far, so I am
grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks a lot, anja
