May I just add, in some instruments the various emission channels are prelabelled, hence: GFP/CFSE labelled as Fitc (because it is measured in the FITC "channel" PercP, 7AAD or PI labelled as PE-CY5 or PE PB labelled as Violet 1 etc of course the labels can be changed but why have them there in the first place, it would be much better if users needed to understand about excitation and emission wavelengths, especially with multi-colour instruments.
