Hello everyone. I want to thank you for all your responses. The answer seems to be that no one really uses EMA anymore as this product has been superseded by the Molecular Probes LIVE/DEAD stains! I was aware of these products but seem to have temporarily forgotten about them as I got caught up in the EMA story! Thanks again for your help.
