Hi anonymous from somewhere on planet earth, If you have access to an amnis machine you could get an answer without a control Ab (although a biological control would still be needed, of course), and it'd be quite elegant I think. I don't know if the resolution is enough to resolve real TdT staining patterns from "unspecific" nuclear staining though. Also you can do controls that exclude one step of the preparation to see for unspecific staining of the reagent(s).
