Dear All, I have a vacancy in my Lab at the London Research Institute (LRI), Cancer Research UK. The FACS Lab here offers a flow cytometry service for the 50 Research groups at LRI. We have 6 analytical cytometers (2 LSRIIs, 2 FACSCaliburs, FACSArray and a Laser Scanning Cytometer) and three cell sorters (2 MoFlos and a FACSAria). We train users on the analysers and operate the cell sorters. We have specific expertise in multicolour phenotyping (T and B cells, dendritic cells, stem cells), cell cycle analysis (DNA staining, cell cycle kinetics), cell proliferation, bead analysis and apoptosis analysis. I am looking for an experienced cytometrist who is looking to expand their horizons in hardware and applications. The successful candidate must possess excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as being able to work independently. Training will be provided if needed. The position is at the Senior Scientific Officer level and attracts a salary of upwards of 28k UKP depending on experience.
