Seeking new position.

Greetings,

I am seeking a potential new position in technical
support and/or applications of flow cytometry, so I
would be delighted to be considered for any
potentially suitable such post.

I have a Ph.D. in microbiology and previously
worked in flow cytometry in England for some seven
years, before moving here to the U.S. around thirteen
years ago. I hold full dual U.K./U.S. nationality..

Reently, I have been working as the Technical
Support Manager for PointCare Technologies, providing
field technical support for their AuRICA cytometric
clinical CD4 analyser. This involved frequent travel
to Third World countries, including Africa and Haiti,
where I was responsible for installations, training
and service, often in very remote rural bush clinics
and hospitals. The instrument utilises colloidal gold
micro-particles and side-scatter signal changes as a
simple assay to measure CD4 on lymphocytes in A.I.D.S.
patients, prior to the start of any anti-retroviral
drug therapy.

Previously, I was working as the Senior Technical
Specialist for Guava Technologies, providing field
applications and technical support for their range of
Personal Cell Analyser, micro-capillary based
cytometry systems. I successfully covered a territory
from N.Y.C. up to Canada and west to Buffalo.

Prior to that, I established and managed for
fours years the core flow cytometry for a small
bio-technology company, located just outside Boston,
where I had a three laser MoFlo. high-speed cell
sorter and a FACScan analyser.

I have some twenty years of experience in flow
cytometry and have designed, established and managed
several such facilities, as well as supported, taught,
consulted, trouble-shot and dealt with all aspects of
this field of work.

I have been with my particular company for just
under two years now, but following a recent
significant company-wide reorganisation, several
senior members of staff have been laid-off, now also
including myself. So, the time is ripe for me to move
on and I would prefer to move from Boston to some
where warmer!

I am attaching copies of my current C.V. and list
of publications for your perusal.

     Yours sincerely,

Huw S. ("Zip") Kruger Gray, Ph.D.
