Dear colleagues:

Randy Fischer will be greatly missed at NIH as well as the Purdue
community.

Randy was a great friend to many and a professional immunologist here at
NIH. He was always quick to help a friend in need in the lab. He was
skillful in his techniques and he shared his expertise with many of us.
A model federal employee, he strove to make a difference in the field of
immunology.

Randy was a family guy. He spoke often of his wife, daughter, and son.
He attended his daughter's games often. Just recently, he told me that
he was a very loud fan of hers. People who knew him would have no problem
imagining that. He was also very active with the Boy Scouts of America.

I am extremely glad that I met him and have learned so much from him. I
Admire what he has accomplished in his life.

Yours faithfully
