Serotec sells Mycoplasma Removal Agent. Not exactly sure of the mode of
action, but I have used it extensively on human and murine cell lines with
no loss in proliferative capacity or effect on plating efficiency/
clonogenic cell survival following ionizing radiation, cisplatin, or
mitomycin C. Usually use it at their recommened dilution of 1/100, and after
a couple of weeks, cells are clean based on flourescence detection
using Hoechst 33258 staining after fixation with methanol/acetic acid (found
in Freshney's Cell Culture text).
