Apoptosis vs. Necrosis using 7AAD

Hello Fellow Flowers:

I have a question from a client who had done apoptosis studies using
7aad. We are seeing two populations that are 7AAD positive. Is it
possible to distinguish if one population is early apoptosis and one
is late apoptosis? If that is possible, how do we distinguish the
late apoptosis from the necrotic cells?

I have included a copy of one of the data files-now that we look at
it-is it that the two brightest peaks represent late apoptosis and
necrosis?

As you can tell we really need some assistance in interpreting this data.

As always, thanks in advance.

And for those who are wondering, I am still compiling data on the
rates charged by everyone. I keep getting interrupted by pesky
clients wanting to run experiments for flow and sorting. Why won't
they leave me alone!!!

Janet
