An easy way to sort live highly proliferating cells?

Hello everyone.

I have a client who would like to sort live cells that are proliferating the
most in response to an infection and then perform an adoptively transfer.
Is there an easy way to do this? Some suggestions I've had so far involve
purchasing a mouse strain that produces GFP as part of its histone proteins,
or feeding the mice enough CFSE to enable sorting of highly proliferative
cells after the infection period (4 weeks).

I would really appreciate more suggestions or advice.

Thanks for your contributions.
