Responsibilities: Has an advanced understanding in the application of flow cytometry techniques commonly used in clinical pathology laboratories. Performs routine and specialized flow cytometry assays related to assessing cellular phenotypes, cell number, cell cycle and more complex multiplexing assays with minimal supervision and a high level of competence. Assures these laboratory analyses are done in compliance with applicable governmental regulations, company policies, departmental procedures and study protocols. Performs and assists under minimal supervision- maintenance, quality control, equipment evaluation and validation procedures. Reviews, verifies and approves data for release to clients and may contribute to protocols, reports and publications. Qualifications: A medical technologist (BSc and/or ASCP certification) or experienced scientist who will conduct all aspects of routine and specialized flow cytometry assays in support of preclinical and clinical studies. This position requires a minimum of 2-3 years in the conduct of flow cytometry assays within immunology laboratories. The incumbent is expected to develop and perform with minimal guidance experimental designs utilizing the latest technologies and will participate in other clinical pathology support as the need arises.
