Hi Pamela, does the software really require the "Administrator" account, or is having admin rights good enough? If so, you could define a new user account having admin rights to that computer, and hand over that login/pasword to the group in question. Your local IT guy can then enable login tracking (auditing) within Windows to allow for usage data extraction later on. Alternatively, you could just keep the key to the room in question (or the PC - if it's old enough it may still have a key!) and have them sign in and out on paper at your office/reception desk/whatever. The software runs as an administrator only and is PC based. I am looking for a way to track login information on the computer. The iCys software does not have a way to track when a user logs on and off. Previously this was not a problem because all samples were run and usage time tracked by a facility operator. However, increased usage of the instrument has led to a small group of researchers wanting to run the instrument themselves after appropriate training.
