ABC calibration

Hello Flowers,
BD sells "QuantiBrite PE beads" that are calibrated according to the number of PE
molecules bound per bead. In the old days, BD used to sell PE-conjugated antibody
reagents that were specially manufactured so as to have "guaranteed" one PE molecule per
antibody molecule (F:P = 1). These specific reagents worked with the beads to calculate
ABCs --- because of the known F:P ratio.

I cannot find these specific antibody reagents listed in the BD catalog nor I could I get
any information about them from BD technical support.

Can someone tell me whether, these days, any PE-conjugated antibody will do? I don't
really trust these ABC calculations , so perhaps the number of antibodies calculated to
bind per cell is so rough that the exact F:P ratio doesn't really matter....
