Applicants will be required to demonstrate competence in molecular biology procedures and techniques and will be able to work independently. This position requires the ability to manage laboratory inventory and records and editorial skills for preparation of reports. Applicants must demonstrate ability to work with and willingness to be exposed to hazardous materials such as infectious materials and/or hazardous chemicals. Knowledge of standard computer software packages for data analysis and presentation, and familiarity with on-line literature search engines are also necessary for this position. Applicants should have a minimum of five years of relevant laboratory/research experience, and a master's or bachelor's degree with a major in one of the biological sciences.
