RE: beta-gal reagent for flow

Hi E.,

I've played with two intact membrane-crossing b-gal substrates from Mol Probes quite a while ago ("Imagene Green", "Imagene Red").

Result was inconclusive as transfection efficiency was poor for that particular experiment, if I recall correctly, but I do recall both colours were FACS compatible and flow was mentioned was an application for those reagents.

Subject: beta-gal reagent for flow

Hi Flower's community,

I was wondering if somebody used a different reagent than FDG for beta-gal tracing in flow cytometry.
I found another substrate called DDAO galactoside and since there is no datasheet available on invitrogen's websitefor that product, I have no idea if it's possible to use it for flow cytometry.

Thank you for your help!!!
