Macrophage vs. DC

Dear all,


In our experimental setup we have identified some cells that seem to be
dendritic cells. But we need to confirm that and make sure that they are not
macrophages. What markers should I use to distinguish between human
peripheral blood culture generated dendritic cells and macrophages?

Does anyone know how specific is BDCA1 (CD1c) and BDCA2 (CD303) for subsets
of DCs? Should I use them in combination with some other markers?

We appreciate any other suggestion how to charachterise them fully.
