There is no way to help make us remember to record the numbers, Even if they built it in. We all forget sometimes, or the counters just reset. Real annoying, but that is the way it is. To help, download a freeware copy of MWSnap from www.mirekw.com <http://www.mirekw.com/> . We use this all the time to take snapshots of only pieces of the DIVA software and then paste them into either powerpoint or Excel. Try it you will like it. There are many more out there but this was cheap (FREE). We have it loaded on all the sorters and LSR's. Hi Robin, annoying, isn't it? Hasn't been fixed on the version on my machine either, and I run the latest available version for the Aria. Don't know what's new in the supposedly upcoming new release either - has been rumoured to be "nearly ready" since last Spring here. Still, there seems to be a new version out for Canto II users now, so maybe the rest of us get our hands on it soon. Just as a printing aside, I recommend buying a PDF writer software to electronically document dot plots/histo's/sort reports etc. - great for info archiving and distribution via email/file servers to customers who only care about the report, not the data files. The files are also useful for recycling in reports as well (Word, Powerpoint...): if you've got graphics software which imports PDF files, you get better quality graphics by grabbing the plots from a PDF printed report than from exporting the "template element" to JPEG within Diva! (it's a vector versus bitmap thing). I was recommended the Fineprint plus pdfFactory Pro combination, and can happily state they beat Adobe Acrobat itself both on utility (at least for this purpose) and price (by far). Best of luck, and let's all pray together now for various small favours in Diva's next version, Guy Ps: I don't hold financial interests in BD or whoever produces the PDF software mentioned above. I've gotten much better about it, but I still occasionally forget to print a report, usually for the one customer who actually cares. I'm not talking about the dot plots and statistics, but about the sort report that gives the number of cells that were sorted into each tube along with Threshold Count, Processed Events, Electronic Aborts, etc... This report vanishes forever once another sample is started, and one of my customers uses all of the data to normalize her experiments, so she looses data when I forget a report. I've spoken to BD tech support and although I am apparently not the only one to complain, the person that I spoke to wasn't sure whether anyone was working on it for the next version or not. I have version 4.1.2, and it's been a while since I called about it. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
