Hey Janet,
DRAQ5 will penetrate live cells. It is best excited at 633nm, but seemingly, can also be
excited at 488nm. Produced by Biostatus http://www.biostatus.co.uk/draq5_technical.html
If you can excite by a UV laser, Hoechst 33342 is an alternative.
Regards.

Subject: sorting cancer cells for ploidy

Hey Fellow Flowers:
I have a client who wants to sort canine cancer cells based on ploidy and then grow them
in culture. I don't have any experience with this. She is specifically looking for a
protocol that will keep the cells alive and happy yet stain the DNA.
Thanks in advance for all your help.
