FlowJo for PC newest version (7.1) Evolution or Degeneration?

Dear colleagues,

Can anyone help us with the latest version of FlowJo for PC (7.1.)? We
bought the upgrade and are now missing some features we used in the
previous versions and which we considered as very useful:

1. When we create a layout with several plots, the function “Properties”
is only available when you have marked one plot at a time. Previously we
could label as many plots as we wanted and change their layout uniformly
(like bringing them to identical sizes, remove tics….) Now we have to do
this plot by plot – yawn.

2. The function “Edit” “Preferences” has disappeared; at least we don’t
find it anymore. We were happy with it, because we could define some
basic prefs for all plots we added to a layout right from the beginning.
Does anyone know a valid alternative? (The new function “Save state to
preferences” is unfortunately not a valid replacement, because it saves
some of the prefs you define and doesn’t take others.)

3. Does a possibility exist to show, the file name “behind” a plot in
the properties window when you double click on a plot? Well this was not
a feature lost from previous PC versions like the first two points, but
exists already for a long time in the Mac versions (shows up as header
in the properties window) We often need to create layouts with many
plots from different files for comparison and need to verify that the
right data files and gates are shown in the plot.

An obvious suggestion would be to run FlowJo on a Mac, unfortunately
this alternative becomes more and more difficult for us. The final
results of our analyzes have to be transferred to a server which
collects data from all kinds of analyzes and equipments. All the other
departments use PCs; we have the only Mac on the block. Unfortunately
the server does not communicate with Macs at all. So we have to add one
more step to transfer data and of course one more source of error. To
retrieve data and modify them is the same drag in two directions.
Our IT department is not at all willing or able to make this server Mac
compatible (Well and with one Mac among a few dozen PCs feeding data to
the server we can understand them.) so we need a convenient way to work
with our data on PCs.

We asked already TreeStar Tech Support for assistance. Unfortunately
their reply was not of much help for us. So does anyone in the community
have ideas how we could get around these “losses” in the new PC version?

Thank you in advance
