Hi Tim, Bender Medsystems has something called Flowcytomix you should have a look at. I believe Beckman-Coulter now distributes the product as well. I have only a FACS Calibur, with the standard 488 and a red diode laser, at my disposal and to my understanding the only bead assay available to me is the one offered through BD. Unless I'm mistaken, the Luminex based assays offered through Biorad, Upstate, and others only works on the Luminex instruments; I'm assuming this is due to the laser configurations. In addition, I would like to possibly bind an additional antibody against a protein of interest to our lab to a bead to assay it along with my cytokines. I know that Biorad sells a kit for this but that doesn't do me any good. Has anyone had experience binding antibodies to a bead format that will work on my Calibur?
