Absolute neutrophil counts (ANC) by flow cytometry

Dear Colleagues,

This is probably a rather naive question, but is there a specific procedure
for determination of a clinical ANC by cytometry?

The articles I have found discuss ANC calculation by multiplication of %
neutrophils by total WBC, which I assume relates to use of a standard
haematology analyser. However, I would expect that in this era of
multi-parameter analysis there will be an accepted method for use with flow
cytometry, which I just can't seem to find. Can you help?

Many thanks
