HTS problem

Dear All,
In my lab was installed a BD HTS autosampler on BD FACSCalibur. Since at this time we had (several times) some problem on "pump 1". BD peoples said me some thinks to fix this problem. These are: 1) wash with pure water each time before use the syringe on pump;  2) put some grease on o-ring on syringe;3)  they (BD) lubrificated pumps. Unfortunally i never fix the problem. 
Is there some one in flow community that have some ideas to fix this hts issue?
