Gene, We did this many years ago on an LSR I, whose electronics are "very similar" to the VantageSE. There were some limitations even with this approach. I may still have the schematics or instructions from BD on how to connect if you anyone else is interested. I (and I'm sure many others) would encourage you to try using software compensation. My opinion is that this works best when you run all parameters uncompensated, but that's only speculation. It's certainly easier than the mechanical manipulation that you mention. Good luck.
