Mouse monocyte analysis

I would like to know the flow community's current opinion on the most
reliable markers to enumerate mouse peripheral blood monocytes. The last
message threads I found were back in 2002 regarding the use of CD11b and
Gr1. I wondered if other users had found alternative and reliable methods
to determine mouse monocyte numbers in a standard blood leukocyte profile.
For example can mouse monocytes be separated on the basis of CD3-CD4+
profiling (with/without CD11b) in a similar way to the rat?

Any advice or experiences that people can share would be most useful and I
can publish a synopsis for everyone if it appears this would be helpful.

Best wishes

David
