Hi Guy, At least for our lab, we use a ³dump² channel for exactly what it sounds like- a ³trash dump². We are interested primarily in human B cells, and in some of our sick patients these can be quite rare in comparison to the other types of peripheral blood cells. So, to be able to more easily analyze these rare populations, we label T-cells, NK-cells, monocytes, dendritic cells and dead cells with a single fluorochrome/color and anything positive in this channel is ³dumped² out of the populations to be analyzed. Hi all, After doing quite some reading on the list and in publications, I got the impression various people use the term "dump channel" in reference to different concepts/uses. Could some of the gurus out there clarify this one for me and the rest of us out there? thanks, Guy Next generation therapeutic antibodies <http://www.ablynx.com/> Guy Hermans, PhD Project Leader Ablynx NV Technologiepark 4 B-9052 Zwijnaarde Belgium guy.hermans@ablynx.com tel: fax: mobile: +32 (0)9 261 06 57 +32 (0)9 261 06 27 +32 (0)486 788 551 Add me to your address book... <https://www.plaxo.com/add_me?u=30065269879&v0=994426&k0=2009290972> Want a signature like this? <http://www.plaxo.com/signature>
