Dear friends,

Could it be possible to be serious with the CMXRos probe, at least to
what concern the detection of the mitochondrial membrane potential
after cell fixation.

Please look at :

The use of chloromethyl-X-rosamine (Mitotracker Red) to measure loss of
mitochondrial membrane potential in apoptotic cells is incompatible with cell
fixation

and if you wanted to carry experiments, please try controls with
either uncoupling agent (CCCP, FCCP, nig + val) or in regulating
volontary (calibration) the size of the mitochondrial potential. You
will normally get a fast answer to your question and ridiculous,
unexpected results...

Sincerely yours

Patrice
