We found that cytokine ELISA and bead arrays (for Luminex) were comparable if kits from the same vendor were compared. Comparisons between vendors yielded many more differences. We think this is likely due to the different avidity of the various antibodies used. See Khan et al Cytometry 61B:35-39, 2004 for more details.
