CD1a+ cells in LBA

Dear all,
We have been asked to help on a diagnostic workout of a suspicious
pulmonary Langerhans cell granulomatosis. Does anybody know whether flow
analysis of bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) would be of any utility? I was
thinking on a combo of	CD1a, HLA DR, CD11b and CD45, but can't find any
clue of expected results, specially concerning FSC/SSC caractheristics
of putative langerhans cells (I suppose a large number of epithelial
cells will be present in the sample). I'm not familiar with flow
analysis of BAL and any comment/suggestion would be very helpful. Should
I filter the sample before staining? Thank you for your time!
