Membrane dye for living cells

I am wondering if there is any dye for labeling the membrane of mammalian cells. The
pefect condition is the dye labels only the surface membrane without labeling the
cytoplasmic organelles or cytoskeleton components. I know this may be a stupid question
but i am still hoping...
