I was contacted by our purchasing department recently when I submitted a purchase order to renew our service contract with BD Biosciences for our FACSCalibur. The purchasing agent wanted me to switch to the ARAMARK Capital Asset Protection Plan to cover this instrument. I was wondering if any of you use service, and if so, what are your thoughts? This company covers everything from Fax machines (office equipment) to flow cytometers apparently. You still use the same service engineer, but the contract is through ARAMARK instead of BD. Any thoughts/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
