exporting raw data from gated events

Dear Flowers:

I am writing this email for a client -here is his question in his words:

I am interested in doing some analysis beyond that of the software we
have available. In order to do this, I need to be able to export raw
data (individual light scatter and fluorescent values for each event)
from a gated region. The gate needs to be a polygon rather than a
simple square.	Currently we have CellQuest, WinMDI, and Summit
software. I am most familiar with CellQuest and WinMDI, but I have
not found a way to export data. I have just started to use Summit
software and have not determined yet whether it is capable to export
data. I have also tried MFI (PC-Dos), but this software is limited
to square gated regions.

My question is how can I export the raw data within a gated region?
Will either CellQuest, WinMDI, or Summit have the capacity to do
this? If not, what software should I use? We also have access to
FlowJo software.

I would appretiate any assistence or specific instructions you may
have. I can be reached at chris@genejockeys.com and I will also try
to monitor any responses through Janet Dow whom is forwarding this
message.

Thank you for your help.
