The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia seeks a full-time Flow Cytometry Specialist for its busy clinical flow cytometry laboratory. The lab performs a high volume of testing including immunophenotyping for hematopoietic malignancies, immunodeficiency and PNH, stem cell enumeration and fetal hemoglobin detection. Required qualifications for the position include a degree in Medical Technology (ASCP or equivalent) or biological science, with experience in flow cytometry including proficiency at sample preparation and staining, data acquisition and analysis in a clinical setting. Opportunities exist to use start-of-the art instrumentation and to participate in new assay development with an extensive research core facility.
