Core Manager Position -Chicago The Flow Cytometry Core Facility of Northwestern University’s Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center provides comprehensive flow cytometry services for the entire research community of Northwestern University and is in the process of a major expansion. We are currently seeking an individual to fill the role of core manager. In addition to providing training and access to routine flow cytometric testing, the facility’s mission is to offer researchers the more complicated state-of-the-art flow cytometry testing. As such, the individual filling the position will play a key role in assay development within the facility. Responsibilities will also include the following: · Oversee laboratory staff and daily operation · Serve as a resource for investigators seeking cytometry expertise · Perform administrative functions relating to lab operation · Provide for both formal and informal cytometry education for the facility investigators Candidates are expected to have extensive experience in flow cytometry instrumentation and applications, with strong problem solving and communication skills.
