Help with DNA/RNA stain

Hello, 
This is a rather trivia question, but as a total novice I need help.
I am currently using standard ethanol fixation followed by PI staining
for cell cycle analysis. However I would like to find a protocol which
doesn't require the use of RNase. I don't particularly want to
'visualise' the RNA but would like to retrieve it from cells once I am
finished with cell cycle analysis. I have found a few stains which allow
staining of both DNA and RNA, is there a stain that is specific for DNA?
