Dear Flowers, is there a possiblityy to measure the volume of cells by flow? The only thing I know is to set a standard with different sort of beads by size to get different FSC values and then calculate the appproximate volume of the cells by diameter. On the other hand I also know that cells can expand and shrink depending on the medium the are stored in for analysis and it also depends on the type of cells and how they pass the intercept of the laser. Colleagues want to have an idea of the volume of cytoplasma of ficoll separated mononuclear cells from drug treated patients with regard of the amount of drugs retained within the cells. Maybe someone has an idea. All comments are welcome and thanks in advance.
