SYBR in intact cells

Can anyone tell me if they have stained intact (non-permeabilized)
mammalian cells with Probes SYBR-I or SYBR-II?

A PubMed comes back with several papers using SYBR-14, whatever that may
be, and sperm viability. There is also a small chain of papers (

I am interested in if anyone has used the SYBR dyes for DNA or RNA staining
in membrane-intact, diploid, mammalian cells, since they are purportedly
membrane permeant.

Thanks in advance.
