marker to differentiate monocytes vs. pDCs

Cytokindred,

We are analyzing human monocyte FceRI receptor expression in a clinical
study and want to be sure the gated CD14+ cells we are studying are truly
monocytes and are not contaminated by dendritic cell precursors (pDC). Any
thoughts on an additional single cell surface marker to do that with other
than by using a cocktail of BDCA-1/CD1c and BDCA-2?

We will sort them to show monocyte vs. DC morphology, but it would be nice
to have another cell surface marker to verify this as well. Most cell
surface markers of DC (CD80, CD86, MHC) are also expressed by monocytes.

Thanks,

Calman
