The Flow Cytometry Facility at The University of North Carolina at Chapel

candidate will join a busy and expanding Flow Facility which currently has
2 FACScans, 1 FACSCalibur, a MoFlo, CompuCyte LSC, and Intelligent Imaging
Innovations digital deconvolution microscope. In the next few months, we
will be adding 2 analyzers (either a 12-color B-D LSRII and Canto or 2
9-color DakoCytomation CyAns) and another sorter (either B-D Vantage or
Aria or a DakoCytomation MoFlo). The Facility offers a variety of flow
cytometry services and applications to over 130 laboratories. The
successful candidate must have experience that includes at least 2 years of
routine (daily) operation of either a MoFlo (preferred), B-D FACSVantage
or Beckman-Coulter Elite/Altra sorter. The successful candidate should
also have experience that includes operation of at least one type of the
above analyzers as well as broad flow cytometry application experience. A
pleasant and hardworking attitude plus the ability to easily communicate
with investigators and their staff is required. Primary responsibility in
the position will be operating one or the other of the sorters. Position
and salary level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is located at the western
edge of the Research Triangle Park. The area is in the beautiful piedmont
region of North Carolina offering easy access to both the Atlantic beaches
and the mountains. The University is home to over 25,000 undergraduates
and 10,000 graduate students and is one of the top research universities in
the nation consistently ranking in the top 20 in NIH research
