Dear fellow flow-ers, FloCyte Regional Training program is happy to announce a Basic Flow Cytometry Training to be held at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, Jan. 21-23, 2004. I know many of you are well versed in flow but perhaps you have users who are struggling or just contemplating or beginning using flow - this course is designed for them. It teaches the basic foundations of flow cytometry, what is happening inside the instrument, how to prepare a good experiment, what fluorophores you choose and why, how the instrument layout affects experimental design, compensation issues - how to do it right!!, how to recognize and produce good data, etc. It is an excellent program, brought directly to you, at a fraction of the cost of sending just ONE person to a program away from the lab. I am happy to talk to you about the curriculum if you like or you can check it out at www.flocyte.com - click on Training and then on Basic Curriculum. The registration application form is also available from a link on that page. Registration is limited and is only $375 for 14 hours of interactive learning and lecture. Two excellent instructors will bring the lectures, interactive exercises, and an introduction to the instrument itself over 3 afternoons. I know you would find this an excellent value and an asset to your users. Please pass the word to anyone you know in the flow community in NY/NJ!!
