Hello Lenjou...

We just received our Lightwave mode-locked UV from BD, so they appear to be shipping quantities of them now.  Although we haven't mounted it on the LSR II yet, we've tested it on our FACSVantage. The power output (20 mW) seems very stable, and the beam spot has a nice elliptical shape.  Even on the stream-in-air Vantage it gives decent sensitivity with our linearity beads (despite its somewhat low power level) - it should work much better on the LSR II.  Heat output is negligible.  So overall a nice laser - worth the wait.

   Dear,

Recently we have purchased a BD-LSR-II flow cytometer with a 4 laser
line-up . In december the HeCd-laser will be replaced by the solid state
UV-laser . I wander if you have already any experience with this laser on
the lSR -II ? If you are interrested we can  share some info about our
results with this laser on our respective flow cytometers . Our facility
uses for its research also a BD-Facscan, BD-Facstar  Plus and a
BD-FacsVantage SE . For routine immunophenotyping we use the Coulter XL and
soon a Coulter FC500 . I hope this is not too inconvenient for you or your
lab-people ,

   Many thanks in advance,

  Lenjou Marc
