5 and 6 color analyzers

To All:

We are trying to assess our institutional need for an analyzer
capable of more than 4 colors, such as the LSR II or the Cyan. The
best way to do this is to poll users, obviously. However, a logic
that appeals to University administrators is to determine how we
compare to other "comparable" institutions (whatever that means).

It would thus be a great service to the immunology community here at
Yale if you would take a moment to let me know if you already have or
are about to have such an analyzer. All I would want to know is:

a) the type(s) of analyzer(s)
b) how many of each
c) if they are accessible to multiple labs via some type of core
facility or arrangement.

This is obviously a non-scientific survey, but I think this might
also be of interest to others who use the list. If so, I will compile
a summary.

Thanks in advance for taking a minute to let us here know where you stand.

Sincerely,

--
