You can buy used FACScan or FACSCalibur benchtop cytometer for about $40K - $50K. Try contacting Jim Tompkins at Spectron Corporation: http://www.spectroncorp.com/Flow/products_bd.htm We bought a used FACScan from him about 5 or more years ago ---- it is working fine and we were very well treated by Spectron.
