we have trouble with quantitation of plasma cells in bone marrow specimens
from myeloma patients. often the hematologists will tell us that they saw
large amounts of plasma cells and by FACS we see a much lower percentage.
are there special problems with stability of plasma cells? we use a direct
lysis protocol.
does anyone else have similar experience?
are there special protocols for analysis of plasma cells in bone marrow?
your kind assistance and suggestions are most appreciated.
