Hi flowers: I have been using WinMDI under XP, it works perfectly and never crashed. I would like to ask about Cytomation flow software. It seems to me that Cytomation works considerably slowly in my computer under XP (I have 512 RAM). Anybody else had any problem with Cytomation? Thanks Edip AKPINAR NIH-NIDDK-TAB -----Original Message----- From: Sam Hou [mailto:sam.hou@jenner.ac.uk] Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2003 3:35 AM To: cyto-inbox Subject: RE: WinMDI under windows xp - works fine for us Hi, Just a quick note to also mention that the stability of WinMDI under Windows XP seems to be a lot better. Many users at our Institute have been frustrated with the crashing of long WinMDI sessions under Windows NT/98/ME. Just in general chat there hasn't been one crash yet, although this may also have something to do with the increased amount of memory used with XP. WinMDI seems to work fine on those computers. We also have a couple of XP professional computers, and I have heard of no problems with those running WinMDI. There may still be problems on some computers, but I have heard of none. There is always Windows 95 compatibility mode, if you have problems. There are other free options for XP systems, as I understand it, as well as other inexpensive analysis options. Good luck. The computerpeople say that WinMDI will not run under Windows XP. Is that true? Has anyone tried and failed or even better succeeded in getting it running?
