Apoptosis in spleen

Dear Flow-ers,

Someone knows a good approach to detect lymphocyte apoptosis in spleen ex
vivo? My experience shows that annexin is a bad choice due to phagocitosis
by spleen macrophages. I think that using PI or tunnel could occur the same
problem (not detectable due to phagocitosis). There is a good reference on
detection of lymphocyte apoptosis in spleen ???
