I seem to remember someone in this newsgroup mentioning awhile ago that if you used heparinized vacutainer tubes, you would get fewer monocytes in your buffy coat. I thought I had printed this out, but I can't find it anywhere. Is there a reference for this? I haven't found anything. It could be a function of whether the vacutainer tubes are siliconized or not (some EDTA tubes appear to be). Could anyone help my memory? Thanks, Betty-Anne
