separation of bacteria and cultured cells

Hi,

A member of our lab is looking at alternatives for removing live
bacteria from cultured adherent CHO cells.  She is trying trypsin.  Any
other ideas out there?  She cares more about retaining viable bacteria
than she does about retaining intact cells, which is counter to my usual
motives!
