Just a thought regarding the damage to the pump caused by aspirating water, etc. into it: Would it be possible to install a hydrophobic air filter in line between the waste receptacle and the pump in order to prevent the entry of damaging liquids without impeding the airflow? I tried this on a vacuum gel drier and it seemed to work fine. Has anyone tried it on a flow cytometer? --Art __________________________________ Arthur Roberts Dept. of Medicine Robert Wood Johnson Medical School email: robertar@umdnj.edu phone: 732-235-7790 Fax: 732-235-7792
