Magnesium measurement with flow

Greetings,

We are planning to measure intracellular magnesium concentration in
lymphocytes with a FACSCalibur flow cytometer. 
We know that papers such as
Huijgen HJ, et al. 1998, Clin Chem., 44(3):639-648,
Morelle et al., 1994, Cell Biol Toxicol, 10:339-644, and
Rijkers GT, et al. 1993, Biochem J., 289:373-377
have been published on this topics.

If you have experiences with IC Mg measurement or with related
techniques, we would be glad to learn additional details from you, like
what were the preferred methods/key protocols, critical error
possibilities, do you have any specific FACScalibur related suggestions.
