Hello to all, The analysis of H-Y antigen expression on leukocytes by flow cytometry already a long time ago has been published as a method to discriminate neutrophils from male and female subjects (Kent M. et al. Hum Genet 1990; 85:127-9). Although this method might be highly relevant for the analysis of chimaerism in sex-mismatched bone marrow transplantation, I have never seen any further publications on this methodology. The only exception is a recent report that H-Y expression does not reliably discriminate male from female sperm in human. Can anyone report on any experience with this or an alternate technology?
